About Corby Central Masjid
Who We Are
Welcome to Corby Central Masjid, established in 2012 as the first and main mosque serving the Muslim community in Corby. What began as a vision has grown into a vibrant centre for worship, education, and community life – serving approximately 2,000 Muslims and welcoming people from all backgrounds. Our masjid is more than just a place of prayer; it is a space for connection, learning, and service to the wider community.
Our Story
For over three decades, Muslims in Corby faced great difficulty in finding a dedicated place of worship. Many travelled to neighbouring towns and cities to attend Jumu'ah prayers and religious gatherings. In June 2012, a turning point came when a church on Stuart Road (33 Stuart Rd, Corby NN17 1RL) became available for purchase. The community united with a shared vision – to establish a permanent masjid in Corby. Through collective effort, sincere dedication, and the support of the wider community, the building was acquired and transformed into what is now Corby Central Masjid. Today, it stands as a symbol of unity, perseverance, and faith.
